Job Purpose/Role

The Hybrid Wholesaler position will be focused primarily on bringing annuity business to WealthVest Marketing Inc. You will build and maintain relationships through many technology mediums within a defined geographic territory. Creative problem solving and resourcefulness are vital skills that will help you to provide above-and-beyond service and support to financial professionals. You will be the link between the WealthVest home-office, our carrier partner, and the financial professionals to ensure a smooth experience for them.

Responsibilities

  • Executes on a minimum required sales meetings per month.

  • Accurate in documentation of all meetings for tracking and reimbursement purposes.

  • Ensures integration of key technologies - Salesforce and Concur solutions.

  • Commits time and resources to driving attendance at road shows and broker / dealer meetings

  • The RVP will be provided with a specific geographical territory and will be responsible to conduct business by contacting and holding meetings with clients.

  • Educate financial professionals about our product and marketing offerings within the context of their business.

  • Take a consultative approach identifying opportunities where annuities might fit.

  • Build and execute cadences to systematically foster new relationships in the territory.

  • Leverage technology to build your brand (phone, email, social media, virtual meetings, recorded video).

  • Conduct due diligence for your prospects prior to engaging with them. (Firm, area, personal, business, focuses).

  • Coach advisors on enhancing their brand using technology. Lead this by example.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Department to create compelling messaging and valuable content that advisors can position with their clients.

  • Develop insurance product knowledge of features and benefits. Share that knowledge with team members and advisors.

  • Learn the current suite of value-adds available to financial professionals by firm and know your value proposition.

  • Build an understanding of key competitors and possess the ability to effectively position our solutions.

  • Adhere to a sales process using resources the Company provides.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the CRM system with a focus on data-hygiene and consistent utilization to ensure organization.

  • Master the key differences in firm structure and the rules of engagement within each one.

  • Collaborate with team members to design and align your messaging to maximize effectiveness.

  • Establish product research and analysis capability.

  • Assist in the development and circulation of sales ideas to meet specific investor needs and share those ideas with advisors.

  • Adhere to KPI (Key Performance Indicators) expectations.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Key Requirements, Skills & Experience

  • Required to obtain all necessary license in all jurisdictions where Regional Vice President will conduct business.

  • Required to obtain all mandatory certifications, licensure, and continuing education.

  • Problem solving and decision-making ability.

  • Broad knowledge of insurance principles.

  • Motivated with strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • 1-3 years of internal wholesaler experience that aligns with specific responsibilities for position.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Limited domestic travel required, including periodic travel an assigned hybrid territory

  • Ability to conduct sales calls with financial advisors and independent broker / dealers.

  • Existing relationships with financial institutions and major broker / dealers preferable.

  • Solid understanding of the fixed, index and registered index linked annuity and structured investment product marketplace. Demonstrates ability to position those products in a sales setting.

  • Ability to manage and direct activities to drive business in the assigned territory.

  • Understanding of social media marketing, effective utilization of LinkedIn, and their impact in the financial planning field.

  • Ability to attend broker / dealer conferences where required.
